The Myles Trust - Wengen Rugby Match 2014

Wengen Rugby Match 2014

The annual match took place in Wengen on New Year’s Day and was won by the Irish, again! There will have to be some ringers in the England team if they are going to do the business. The proceedings were livend up by the appearance of three streakers towards the middle of the match. They only had shoes on (to protect them from the snow) and must have been freezing. Amazing what a bit of alcohol can do for some people.

The match started, as usual, wth tne national anthems, and then the Irish sent up a Chinese latern in memory of Myles, which was a nice touch.

The Gay twins, Catherine and Caroline, went round collecting money and about £500 was raised for the Trust, so thank you to everyone who contributed.

Andrew Corcoran, as President of the Wengen Rugby Club made an excellent speech and handed the baton over to Michael Robinson.

A good time was had by all and the Figeller (or Ice) Bar did good business!
