The Myles Trust - Football 2012

The 2012 football match, between Charterhouse and Newcastle in memory of Myles, was held on Sunday 15 April at Charterhouse. A minute’s silence was held beforehand, not only to remember Myles, but also Ed How, the Charterhouse teacher who lost his life skiing off piste in Val d’Isere.

Special thanks must go to Paddy Millington-Buck for organising the event at the school, as well as the Charterhouse side, and Charlie Lovell, who was in charge of the Newcastle side.

This year’s match ended with a 4-3 win (at last!) for the Newcastle team. Having lost the previous two encounters, Charlie Lovell was determined his team should go one better this time. Newcastle established a good lead in the first half but it was much more even, and a better game, in the second half. Charterhouse came back strongly and Newcastle were mightily relieved when the final whistle blew! Thanks must go to all those who took part.
